OMG! Butterfly just arrived!!!

I emailed Traci on Friday and my husband just brought Butterfly in with the day's mail!!! How sweet is that?! Traci is an angel!!

Butterfly is on its way! Yea!!

My long awaited copy of Wiehenburg's wonderful design, Butterfly, is on its way to me!! After much deliberation I decided to contact Traci Horner of Ink Circles, who sells Wiehenburg designs, to see if she had any idea what was up with Wiehenburg ignoring my many emails. She didn't, but she quickly offered to send me a copy if I could send her a copy of my PayPal receipt from this past January, for her inventory records. I sent it to her immediately. What a great gal! We still don't know why Martina or Roger haven't shipped Butterfly, or at the very least, responded to my enquiries. I'd just about given up trying, but Traci's generous intervention short-circuited my frustration, and I am very grateful to her.

If you haven't been to Traci's site, go to inkcircles.com for a treat! I'm still working on finishing up her freebie design, BoInk because lately I've been designing and posting my free charts on my other blog, www.embroiderbee.wordpress.com It's so satisfying that it's taken away from my usual stitching time. Once I got the hang of my new computer and figured out how to put designs into PDF format, designing has become addictive fun!

Emma, Nigella, Peanut, Sunny

Did you ever get to borrow something that you didn't want to give back? I'm totally in love with DS's camera. It's waaaay too much fun to take good pictures!

Em-Em, Niggy, Wee-wee and Francine are not the most cooperative subjects, but I still managed to get some great shots. The big couch by the window is a hot spot in their time-share rotation, so I sat there and pretended that I wasn't interested in photographing anyone.

New Design

Dear Readers,

I've just posted a new, free design on my other blog, http://embroiderbee.wordpress.com/
It's available in the green box.

It's called Procrastinate and has 6 colors and one specialty stitch. It's under copyright, but is free for your personal use.

Happy stitching!

Home, Safe and Sound

DS finally landed around 1:30 pm. Not too bad for a flight that was supposed to be on the ground at 9:00 am! We're just glad he's home and safe and sound.

Rainy Update and Restless Cats

The herd senses that this is not a comfy, stay-at-home day. They're swirling around my feet and four pairs of eyes follow my every move. We're heading to the airport later to pick up DS whose car died just before he left on vacation. His next car is here, but not yet registered until he's home and gets himself to the MVD. There are currently severe thunderstorms in his layover stop which have cancelled his return flight once, and might again. We're hanging out by the phone until we know that his flight has actually left the ground.

I've been working on my Procrastinate design and might get to PDF and post it later today. The new monitor has made such a difference. It's so much easier to design when I can see the whole pattern on screen. Even the colors look better.

Still haven't heard from Wiehenburg designs on my Butterfly. I can't even imagine what's going on there, but it's now been six months since I paid for it via PayPal. I've posted a request that they contact me on their sampler list, I've emailed 3 times to each of them, but have heard only once from Martina. She wrote that they were waiting till they had enough orders to not charge postage. That was months ago, and I'd have gladly paid the bloody postage rather than go through this.

It's beginning to remind me of a situation that happened a few years ago where a couple in Georgia ran an online pen business and were getting divorced. All their orders were ignored, exceptfor the really big ones, and a lot of fountain pen aficionados were very upset to have to wait over six months till they got themselves sorted out enough to fill our small paid orders. There was very little communication from the pen business. I hope that's not the case here, but it's bugging me that they will not respond to my emails. No matter how much I like their designs, I probably won't order from them again. They could easily have attached it to an email and sent it to me by now.

DS just called and his flight was cancelled again, so I'm going to go work on designing something to calm my nerves.

Ciao,

Remy
